I read on CNBC that 8 million homes didn't make a mortgage payment last month? That is a crazy amount of homes in trouble. Roughly 10% of all homes with mortgages on them.

yogi, with 25% real unemployment, I wouldn't be surprised to see 10 million homes miss a payment next month

When things get bad and desperate, crazy things like this story happen. People are always trying to take advantage of one another. It's human nature. What's strange, Hugh, is that things didn't seem all that bad and desperate when you were visiting....that it was a nice quiet neighborhood

I think housing prices are about to plunge....I don't know why....don't have any fancy stats, just here people talking at work and around and people seem WAY more negative than three months ago

Hugh, I am hoping you can give us an update as this story is a few months old. It sure doesn't sound like the Californian real estate market has improved at all, but I have heard that banks have slowed the foreclosure process a lot. I don't know what that means

I saw that the builder confidence figure went down a lot this past month. Oh, boy, here we go again! I think housing prices are 15% higher than were they should be across the US
