kinda surprising that a room service client would return food - whenever I'm on the road, I am usually so hungry that I don't care if it's a little overcooked

A buddy of mine runs a high end grocery/restaurant concept that is struggling in this economy. He's had to keep his staff super lean and is very worried about touching on toes by accusing the kitchen staff of wrong doing. I think he's nuts

so he doesn't think that he can hire more staff if they are stealing from him or pulling the crap that this post is talking about? That's the nuts part of it.

My grandpa lost a tooth once in his soup when I was a kid and left it in the bowl so to surprise the kitchen staff. Stuff you never forget

We were out to dinner with some friends last night and I relayed this story to the group. One of the husbands in the group had returned room service food back to the kitchen before. I'm not sure he will do that again

A group of us were sitting at a sidewalk cafe earlier this week for lunch. The waiter arrives at our table with our orders and just as he starts handing us the plates, this bike messenger comes crashing through the fabric fence the cafe used to designate the dining area. The food goes everywhere and our table is shoved a few feet back. Two guys at the table were bruised and scratched up. Not a good scene at all.

Roger, why was the biker on the sidewalk at all? Those guys are crazy, zig zaggers thru traffic.
